Memories

Stamattina, mi è tornato in mente un episodio della mia infanzia… così, random,i ricordi di quel periodo sono un pò confusi, ma scriverò quello che ricordo, come lo ricordo…
Ero in primina, e le maestre dell’asilo dove stavo facendo la scuola, decisero che per fine anno avremmo fatto una recita della “Sirenetta”
Per non far litigare nessuno, si tennero i ruoli principali, ma decisero che ‘Sebastian’ sarebbe stato uno di noi “bambini più grandi”
Ricordo che una mattina, ci misero tutti seduti a terra… davanti alla tv e fecero andare il video di “In Fondo al Mar” chiedendoci di cantarla.
E rimasero non poco sorprese di vedere che la conoscevo perfettamente… la conoscevo così bene che mi diedero la parte.
È stato il mio primo momento “Bitch, please” della mia vita. La Disney era roba mia… ma invece di tirarmela, ricordo di aver pensato che mica ero io la strana che sapeva tutte le canzoni di tutti i film disney usciti a memoria… erano gli altri quelli strani che non le conoscevano! 😀
Ovviamente, siccome non era possibile non far recitare tutti gli altri bambini della primina, decisero che le bambine sarebbero state tutte sirenette e i bambini sarebbero stati tutti principi.
Il problema era che c’erano due maschietti in meno, nella classe e due femminucce in più.
Indovinate chi si è proposta senza nessun problema a ballare con un’altra sirenetta?
Lo so, ero una bimba figa… Principi azzurri? E chi ne ha bisogno? Faccio da sola, sono una bimba forte e indipendente! 😀

This morning, something that happened to me when I was a child, came back to my mind…like that, totally random, memories of that period are a little blurry, but I’ll write what I remember as I remember it…

I was in the first grade (I guess, italian system is a bit different) and the teachers decided to have a “Little Mermaid” play for the end of the year.
To make sure no one was gonna fight over it, they were playing all the leading role (Ariel, Triton, Eric and Ursula) but decided that some of us – elder student – was going to be Sebastian.
I remember they took all my class in front of a tv, made us sat on the floor and showed us “Under the sea”, asking us to sing.
They were SO surprised that I knew all the words by heart, they chose me…and I got the part.
It was my first “Bitch please”  moment of my life. Disney was my stuff…but instead of bragging it around, I remember I was confused to see that no one else in my class knew the words to this song… it wasn’t me being all weird at 5 years, knowing all the Disney songs from all the Disney movies, it was them that didn’t knew them! 😀
Obviously, since it wasn’t possible to prevent all the other kids to join the play, they settled thing up so that all the girls were going to be mermaids and all the boys princes.
Problem was that the class had 2 more girls than boys.
Guess who decided it was no problem for her to be dancing with another mermaid?
I know, I was a cool kid… Prince Charming? Who needs them? I do things on my own, I’m a stong and independent child 😀
